The South Platte Blue Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 23 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat Potter-Dix 61-15 at home. The win was nothing new for South Platte as they're now sitting on three straight.
It was another big night for Madison Cheleen, who scored 20 points along with five assists and three steals. Isabelle Reichman was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Potter-Dix struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as South Platte pulled down 12 offensive rebounds.
South Platte has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Potter-Dix, they bumped their record down to 3-7 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.
South Platte will square off against Wilcox-Hildreth at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Wilcox-Hildreth's defense has only allowed 26.6 points per game this season, so South Platte's offense will have their work cut out for South Platte. As for Potter-Dix, they will be playing at home against Kimball on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nebraska (Kimball is ranked 231st, while Potter-Dix is ranked 212th).
