Trinity Hall has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They and the Freehold Township Patriots will face off at 5:30 p.m. on February 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Trinity Hall is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Patriots in New Jersey (the are ranked 27th, while the Patriots are ranked 180th).
Trinity Hall put the finishing touches on their sixth blowout victory of the season on Wednesday. They breezed by Manchester Township at home to the tune of 67-34. Trinity Hall pushed the score to 54-25 by the end of the third, a deficit the Hawks had little chance of recovering from.
Even though Freehold Township has not done well against the Mustangs recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. In a tight game that could have gone either way, Freehold Township made off with a 42-41 victory over the Mustangs. The win was just what Freehold Township needed coming off of a 64-37 loss in their prior match.
Trinity Hall has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Freehold Township, their win bumped their record up to 9-7.
Everything came up roses for Trinity Hall against the Patriots in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 as the team secured a 63-30 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Trinity Hall since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
