The West Mifflin Titans entered their tilt with the Clairton Bears with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. West Mifflin came out on top against Clairton by a score of 58-46 on Thursday. That's another feather in the cap for West Mifflin, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Bryant Blair and Taris Wooding certainly did their best on Thursday to try and avoid the loss. Blair scored 11 points along with six rebounds and three blocks, while Wooding scored 11 points along with seven rebounds. Those six rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Mike Wright jr., who scored six points.
West Mifflin's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Clairton, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
West Mifflin will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against McKeesport at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. McKeesport is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak. Clairton will finish 2023 at home by hosting Geibel Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Geibel Catholic is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
