Los Alamitos (Calif.) beat Marina (Huntington Beach, Calif.) 46-0 on the strength of a superb game by dual threat quarterback 
Cody Marshall, who threw three touchdown passes while running for two more.
The lead that the Griffins took on a Marshall touchdown pass to 
Dashawn Gordon with 10:00 left in the first quarter stood up for the duration of the game, as neither team managed to score in the second half.
Los Alamitos put up 32 points in the first quarter en route to the win. LA scored on a touchdown pass by Marshall to Gordon, a touchdown run by Marshall, a 
Richie Molina touchdown run, a Marshall touchdown pass to 
Josh Davis and a defensive touchdown in the quarter.
The Griffins went into the matchup giving up only 12.4 points per game. The zero points that the Vikings ended with were well below their average of 25.0 coming into the game.
When the two teams played each other last season, Los Alamitos came away with a 31-13 victory.
The defeat comes as a step back for Marina, which notched a 51-6 victory over Sherman Oaks CES in its previous outing. With the win LA extended its winning streak to four games.
Los Alamitos (5-1) goes up against Edison in a Sunset game matchup next week, while Marina (3-3) locks horns with Huntington Beach also in a Sunset game.
