Nobody could stop Eric Keesis on Wednesday as he pitched six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was his third in a row with less than two walks. On the year, he has an ERA of 3.71 over 17 innings pitched.

Even though Keesis couldn't lead American over Washington, he won't have to wait long to try again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. American has some work to do to even out the 1-9 series between these two since April of 2019, but a win here would be a good start.
