The Cape Hatteras Hurricanes's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 67-35 loss at the hands of Camden County. Cape Hatteras was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-10.
Several Hurricanes players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Samuel Jenkins, who scored 12 points. Jenkins scored a full 34.3% of Cape Hatteras' points, the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Griffin Couch was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
Cape Hatteras' loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Camden County, they pushed their record up to 5-4 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road.
Cape Hatteras will be playing at home against Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Camden County, they will head out on the road to face off against Currituck County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Currituck County is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
