Softball Recap: Make It Five in a Row for Real Life Christian Academy

Real Life Christian Academy came tearing into Thursday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the First Academy Eagles. The Raptors have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Daniella Delgadillo made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out 12 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3.

In other batting news, Emma Lowe was incredible, scoring two runs while going 4-for-4. Another player making a difference was Eliana Klein, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Real Life Christian Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in ten consecutive matches dating back to last season.

Real Life Christian Academy pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 20.6 runs over those games. As for First Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Looking ahead, Real Life Christian Academy will venture away from home to challenge Oasis Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for First Academy, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 23-3 victory against Hernando Christian Academy on the 21st.
