Hartford Central is 8-2 against the Generals since January of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Hartford Central Tanagers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Salem Generals at 6:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Last Friday, Hartford Central came up short against the Golden Horde and fell 56-46.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Salem, who are still winless after their 17th match. They were dealt a 61-27 loss at the hands of Lake George on Friday. Salem was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 30-6.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Josh Harrington, who scored five points along with 12 rebounds and two steals. He hasn't dropped below ten rebounds for five straight games. Blaise Barrett was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with four steals.
Salem struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Hartford Central has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for Salem, their loss was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-17.
