On Thursday, Inlet Grove lost to Clewiston at home by a decisive 27-13 margin. Inlet Grove has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Clewiston found their leader in underclassman Amos Bradford, who rushed for 79 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries. Jermarian Pope got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Clewiston's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB eight times. Leading the way was Prince "kd" james and his four sacks.
Inlet Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Clewiston, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Inlet Grove will take on King's Academy at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. King's Academy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 335 points over their last seven matchups. As for Clewiston, they will head out on the road to face off against Avon Park at 7:30 p.m. on October 27th. Avon Park comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
