While Northridge's  win against Minor wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Jaguars pulled ahead with  a  26-25 photo finish over the Tigers on Thursday.
 A big part of Northridge's  victory came down to the chemistry between  Mayson Elam and his top target  Tate Espey. Elam rushed for 81 yards and one  score while  Espey picked up 80 receiving yards and a pair of  touchdowns. Espey also  hauled in two  receiving touchdowns, which is notable because Northridge is 2-1 when he posts  at  least  two  receiving touchdowns, but 3-4 otherwise.
  Dominic White and  Tommie Burts certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss.  White picked up 230 receiving yards and three  TDs, while  Burts threw for 289 yards and four  touchdowns while picking up 11.6 yards per attempt. White really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 73 yards.

Northridge's win  ended  a  five-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 5-5. As for Minor,  they are  on  a  six-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 4-6.
