The Waskom Wildcats scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat West Rusk 82-54 on the road. The result was nothing new for Waskom, who have now won five games by 27 points or more so far this season.
West Rusk's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gabby Coleman, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and five blocks. Those five blocks set a new season-high mark for her. Kimora Pryor was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Waskom's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for West Rusk, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Waskom will be home for the holidays to greet Arp at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Arp is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. West Rusk will be home for the holidays to greet Frankston at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Frankston presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than West Rusk in Texas (Frankston is ranked 332nd, while West Rusk is ranked 1190th).
