Notre Dame Prep stacked a 12th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 93-27 victory over Horizon on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Notre Dame Prep has managed all season.
Anthony Batson jr. and Bryce Quinet were among the main playmakers for Notre Dame Prep as the former scored 21 points along with seven rebounds and five assists and the latter scored 19 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds. Batson jr. has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last seven times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brennan Peterson, who scored 14 points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Desert Mountain waltzed into their contest on Monday with four straight wins but they left with five. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Horizon 78-33 at home. That looming 78-33 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Desert Mountain yet this season.
Notre Dame Prep's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 84.0 points per game. As for Desert Mountain, their win bumped their record up to 16-4.
Notre Dame Prep couldn't quite finish off Desert Mountain in their previous matchup back in November of 2023 and fell 83-81. Can Notre Dame Prep avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
