The Rensselaer Central Bombers stacked a 16th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat DeMotte Christian 66-32 on the road. With Rensselaer Central ahead 42-21 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rensselaer Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than Taylor Van meter, who scored 20 points along with six steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamri Rowland, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Despite the defeat, DeMotte Christian had strong showings from Audrey Devries, who scored ten points along with four steals, and Claire Bakker, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds.
The victory makes it two in a row for Rensselaer Central and bumps their season record up to 21-1. As for DeMotte Christian, they now have a losing record at 10-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rensselaer Central will take on Munster at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Munster will be looking to extend their current 11-game winning streak. As for DeMotte Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Calumet Christian at 6:30 p.m. Hopefully Calumet Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 29 last Tuesday.
