The Duncan Demons entered their tilt with the Plainview Indians with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Duncan came out on top against Plainview by a score of 43-34 on Saturday.
Plainview lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Marya Southerland, who scored eight points along with two steals. Southerland has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Jacelyn Hammon was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with two steals.
Duncan is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. As for Plainview, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Duncan and Cache will face off at 6:30 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Cache will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings (they are ranked 213th, while Duncan is ranked 26th). As for Plainview, Plainview and Lone Grove will face off at 6:30 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
