After three games on the road, Twin Lakes is heading back home. They will take on the Tri-County Cavaliers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Twin Lakes focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Saturday.
Last Saturday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Twin Lakes beat McCutcheon 44-39.
Twin Lakes had a senior duo take command as Gavin Businger scored 17 points along with 5 rebounds and Jamison Ousley scored 11 points along with 3 steals. Keaton Miller was another key contributor, scoring 4 points along with 3 blocks.
Meanwhile, Tri-County's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They suffered a tough 62-39 loss at the hands of Rossville. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Tri-County in their matchups with Rossville: they've now lost six in a row.
Koby Bahler put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 21 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals. He scored a full 53.8% of Tri-County's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Connor Ross, who scored 9 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals.
The losses dropped Twin Lakes to 2-3 and McCutcheon to 0-4.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Twin Lakes have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 26.8 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Tri-County struggles in that department as they've been even better at 27 per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out. Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
