St. Catherine extended their losing streak to three on Saturday, dropping their season record down to 3-4 in the process. They lost 12-1 to the Racine Case Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Angels of the 12-4 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Annika Munoz put in work while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching six innings while giving up just two earned (and eight unearned) runs off nine hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Londyn Pardo was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles. Sybria Hunter was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.
As for Racine Case, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-4. 12 seems to be a good number for they as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.
Like St. Catherine's, Racine Case also got a great game from a two-way player: Olivia Lowney. She struck out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Lowney was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one RBI. That triple was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Alex Walek was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Those RBI were her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of McKynna Szymandera, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
St. Catherine's wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 10-6 loss against Racine Horlick on the 26th. As for Racine Case, they have also already played their next matchup, a 5-4 victory against Racine Lutheran on the 26th.
