Eight must be James River's lucky number: they beat Radford with that score not once but twice on Thursday. The Knights beat the Bobcats by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 8-4. The win was familiar territory for the Knights, who have now won three games in a row.

James River's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-14. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Radford, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-13-1 record this season.

Radford will be playing in front of their home fans against Alleghany at 12:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bobcats are facing the Cougars at the right time seeing as the Cougars are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
