The Ridgway/Johnsonburg 's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Brookville, falling 35-6. Ridgway/Johnsonburg was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 20-0.
Brookville got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Hayden Freeman out in front who picked up 208 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Freeman was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield for a catch that went for 65 yards. Charlie Krug was another key contributor, throwing for 250 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.9 yards per attempt.
Ridgway/Johnsonburg has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season. As for Brookville, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 8-2.
Ridgway/Johnsonburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Brookville will look to defend their home field on Friday against Karns City at 7:00 p.m.
