Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jourdanton). They put the hurt on Stockdale with a sharp 17-1 victory on Tuesday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Indians/Squaws with their most commanding win of the season.
Will Griego made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. What's more, he gave up only two walks, the fewest he's had over his last three contests. He was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing six bases while going 2-for-2. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.1 stolen bases per game.
In other batting news, Braden Greigo was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing six bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kevin Garcia, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.
Jourdanton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .625. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in five consecutive games.

Saturday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Devine hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .333. However, it's not like Jourdanton struggles in that department as they've averaged .350. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
