After three games on the road, Highland is heading back home. They will take on the Skyline Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Utah (Highland is ranked 100th, while Skyline is ranked 78th).
On Tuesday, Highland ended up a good deal behind East and lost 50-32.
Meanwhile, Skyline came into Friday's match having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They secured a 56-50 W over East on Friday.
Skyline had a senior duo take command as Cami Groberg dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds and Lauren Johnson scored 15 points along with four steals. Johnson hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Leelu Bare was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Highland dropped their record down to 0-16 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Skyline, their win bumped their record up to 5-14.
Highland came up short against Skyline when the teams last played back in January, falling 49-43. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Groberg, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds. Now that Highland knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
