Havelock is looking to give their home crowd another W after opening their season at home on Friday. They blew past Wallace-Rose Hill 51-14 at home. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 37-7.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Havelock to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jaylen Hewitt, who threw for 357 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.9 yards per attempt. Jonathan Williams was Hewitt's top target, picking up 211 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Havelock didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut ZyKing Patillo. Christopher Bispham was another major factor on D, picking up a sack, forcing a fumble, and making 13 total tackles (5.0 for loss).
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Havelock was moving up and down the field and finished the game with 455 total yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wallace-Rose Hill only gained 270.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Laney beat D.H. Conley 21-17 on Friday.
Ellis Williams had a dynamite game for Laney, rushing for 137 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.1 yards per carry.
