Basketball Recap: Midview Takes a Loss

The Midview Middies were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 49-43 to the Normandy Invaders.

Despite the loss, Midview still got an impressive performance from Xavier Young, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 11 boards. Young is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: he's pulled down at least ten every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Kellen DeSimone, who posted five points.

Midview now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Normandy, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Midview will face off against Avon Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The contest will give the Middies their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Normandy, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Valley Forge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
