Danville is 6-0 against Oxbow since January of 2022, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Danville Bears will be playing at home against the Oxbow Olympians at 7:30 p.m. The timing is sure in Danville's favor as the team sits on six straight wins at home while Oxbow has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
Danville put the finishing touches on their sixth blowout victory of the season on Friday. Everything went their way against Northfield as Danville made off with a 60-36 win. Given Danville's advantage in MaxPreps' Vermont basketball rankings (they are ranked 17th, while Northfield is ranked 62nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Oxbow managed to keep up with Williamstown until halftime on Saturday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Oxbow ended up on the wrong side of a rough 72-50 walloping at the hands of Williamstown. Oxbow has not had much luck with Williamstown recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Danville has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. As for Oxbow, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.
Danville strolled past Oxbow when the teams last played back in January by a score of 55-39. Will Danville repeat their success, or does Oxbow have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
