Elizabethton's Terrence Turner rumbled for the longest rushing play in AA District 1 this season in his game against Johnson County last week. Turner's team topped the Longhorns as he sprinted for 61 yards on the play and finished with 126 in all.
Elizabethton extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Johnson County, 34-7. The victory was the seventh in a row for the team.
Elizabethton's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Fighting Cyclones feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Caleb Bailey has thrown for 286 yards and three touchdowns this season, while Zach Moore has 11 catches for 88 yards. Ethan Thomas leads the league in rushing with 1291 yards.
Unicoi County took down Sullivan East 35-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
