After flying high against Columbia Montour Vo-Tech on Thursday, Northwest Area came back down to earth. The Rangers fell just short of the Lake-Lehman Knights by a score of 5-3 on Saturday. The Rangers' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Trevor Dietz made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.

Northwest Area's defeat dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Lake-Lehman, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season.

Northwest Area wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 5-3 loss against Montgomery on the 12th. As for Lake-Lehman, they have also already played their next contest, an 11-3 defeat against Dallas on the 14th.
