On Saturday, the Moorcroft Wolves's game was all tied up 27-27 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They put the hurt on Edgemont with a sharp 65-45 win. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Moorcroft has managed all season.
Edgemont's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Keaton Darrow, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Cian Waite, who scored 14 points.
The victory makes it two in a row for Moorcroft and bumps their season record up to 2-6. As for Edgemont, their loss dropped their record down to 1-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Moorcroft will challenge Newcastle at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Newcastle is on a three-game streak of home losses, Moorcroft a seven-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change. As for Edgemont, Edgemont and Hyannis will face off at 5:45 p.m. on January 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hyannis will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
