Basketball Recap: Raytown South Comes Up Short

Raytown South won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Monday. They came up short against the Battle Spartans, falling 70-48. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 360th, while the Spartans are ranked 52nd).

Raytown South moved to 4-7 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Battle, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-3.

Raytown South will challenge Kearney at 7:00 p.m. on January 7th. As for Battle, they will take on Montgomery County at 7:30 p.m. on January 7th.
