It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Suwannee Bulldogs can now relate to. They fell 63-55 to the Rams on Tuesday. Suwannee's defeat continues an unfortunate trend for the team, making it three in a row.
Eastside's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Davion Pugh, who scored 18 points. Jarrel Comer was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds.
Suwannee has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season. As for Eastside, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-16.
Suwannee does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Eastside, they will head out on the road to square off against Palatka at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Palatka will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Eastside surely won't give up without a fight.
