The Tanalian Lynx's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 60-24 loss at the hands of Birchwood Christian. Tanalian has not had much luck with Birchwood Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the loss, Tanalian saw an underclassman step up: Erik McGee scored 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ray Chmiel, who scored seven points.
Among those leading the charge was Noah Guderian, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. Guderian is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Andrew Severns was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Tanalian bumped their record down to 0-1 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Birchwood Christian, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Tanalian will head out on the road to face off against Holy Rosary Academy at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday. As for Birchwood Christian, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Nanwalek at 1:30 p.m. on January 11th.
