After a string of seven wins, Kohelet Yeshiva's's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of Mesivta by a score of 47-44. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Kohelet Yeshiva has scored all season.
Kohelet Yeshiva lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Asher Kahlon, who scored 17 points. The contest was Kahlon's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Daniel Benjamini, who scored 14 points.
Kohelet Yeshiva's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-2. As for Mesivta, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kohelet Yeshiva will square off against Kushner Yeshiva at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mesivta is on the road again on Sunday and play against Girard College at 2:30 p.m. on January 7th.
