Couldn't have asked for a better start to 2024 than the 58-28 blowout they got on the road against Training Center Christian. The win was familiar territory for Clinton Christian Academy who now have four in a row.
It was another big night for Clara Hyke, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. The matchup was her 11th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carissa Compton, who scored nine points along with three steals and three blocks.
Despite the loss, Training Center Christian still got an impressive performance from Kendra Roach, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and five blocks. Roach scored a full 50% of Training Center Christian's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Jessa Morrow was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six steals.
Clinton Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Training Center Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.
Clinton Christian Academy will head out on the road to face off against Plaza Heights Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Missouri (Plaza Heights Christian Academy is ranked 252nd, while Clinton Christian Academy is ranked 250th). As for Training Center Christian, they will be playing at home against Heartland Christian Academy at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. Heartland Christian Academy comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
