Meanwhile, Green City put the finishing touches on their sixth blowout victory of the season on Thursday. They took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 62-23 win over Milan. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-20.
Green City relied on the efforts of Xander Salas, who scored 15 points along with five assists, and Asher Buggs-Tipton, who scored 21 points along with two steals. Buggs-Tipton is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last 11 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Kaden Hatcher, who scored six points.
Salisbury's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Green City, their victory bumped their record up to 11-1.
Salisbury was able to grind out a solid victory over Green City in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, winning 78-67. Does Salisbury have another victory up their sleeve, or will Green City turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
