The Woodward Polar Bears will head out on the road to face off against the St. Francis de Sales Knights at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Woodward and six for St. Francis de Sales.
Last Tuesday, Woodward suffered a tough 68-48 defeat at the hands of Springfield. Woodward was down 52-31 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Meanwhile, St. Francis de Sales pushed their score all the way to 59 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 68-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of St. Mary's Prep. While losing is never fun, St. Francis de Sales can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 77th in Ohio, while St. Mary's Prep is ranked first in Michigan).
Woodward's loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for St. Francis de Sales, they dropped their record down to 9-8 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
