Creekside's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tim Gaulden, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and two blocks. It was the first time this season that Gaulden posted two or more blocks. Ahmare Mckenzie was another key contributor, scoring four points along with 15 rebounds and two steals.
Villa Rica's win ended a eight-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-14. As for Creekside, they dropped their record down to 1-20 with that loss, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.
