The Canyon View Jaguars will take on the Centennial Coyotes at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Canyon View sitting on 19 straight victories and Centennial on three.
Canyon View's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over Cienega. Considering the Jaguars have won 20 games by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Landon Hood tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 12 over 6.2 innings pitched. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 5.1 strikeouts per game.
At the plate, Brock Berlan was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high.
Meanwhile, Centennial faced Canyon del Oro in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Coyotes had just enough and edged out the Dorados 2-1. That's two games straight that the Coyotes have won by just one run.
Xavier Escontrias made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one triple.
Escontrias wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was William Strand, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.
Centennial hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Canyon del Oro struck out eight times.
Canyon View pushed their record up to 30-4 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.9 runs over those games. As for Centennial, their win bumped their record up to 23-9.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Canyon View hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .380. However, it's not like Centennial struggles in that department as they've averaged .373. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
