The Union County Yellowjackets had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 65-52 win over Chester on Wednesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Union County also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Union County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Seven Eison out in front who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Eison continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ej Jeter, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds.
Union County's win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-12. As for Chester, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Union County will take on Spartanburg Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Spartanburg Christian Academy is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Chester, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Emerald at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Carolina (Emerald is ranked 215th, while Chester is ranked 222nd).
