Basketball Recap: Lapel Skates Past Daleville with Ease

Lapel entered their tilt with Daleville on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They claimed a resounding 79-52 win over the Daleville Broncos. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 27 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lapel to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brode B Judge, who went 9 of 12 en route to 22 points along with five assists and three steals. That's the most steals B Judge has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Bode Judge, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 13 boards.

Lapel smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Daleville only pulled down two offensive boards.

Daleville lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Cooper Sexton, who posted 11 points. Another player making a difference was Noah Colvin, who had 13 points and five assists.

Lapel has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.2 points per game. As for Daleville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-8.

Lapel will head out to take on Eastern Hancock at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Eastern Hancock is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.6 points per game this season. Daleville has already played their next game, a 56-52 loss against Eastbrook on the 28th.
