Conard is 0-10 against Northwest Catholic since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Conard Red Wolves will head out on the road to challenge the Northwest Catholic Lions at 6:45 p.m. Conard is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.
Last Wednesday, Conard faced Manchester in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Conard sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 60-58 win over Manchester. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Meanwhile, Northwest Catholic pushed their score all the way to 71 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 76-71 hit to the loss column at the hands of Windsor. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Friday (64), Northwest Catholic still had to take the loss.
Conard now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Northwest Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 9-2.
Conard came up short against Northwest Catholic when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 67-56. Can Conard avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
