Football Recap: Devine Starts Season with Victory on the Road

Devine had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 28-26 victory over the Randolph Ro-Hawks. This was payback for the Warhorses / Arabians, who suffered a 28-21 loss the last time these two teams met.

ENOCH HALL was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 105 yards and three touchdowns, and also picked up 71 receiving yards. Those 105 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was MARIO VICENTE, who gained 131 total yards.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Devine will take on Jourdanton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Randolph, they are packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will face off against Blanco at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
