The Easton Area Rovers and the Allentown Central Catholic Vikings will face off at 7:00 p.m. on December 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Easton Area is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.
On Saturday, Easton Area suffered a rough 75-51 loss at the hands of Muhlenberg. Easton Area has struggled against Muhlenberg recently, as their matchup on Saturday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
The losing side was boosted by Ryan Cornish, who scored 17 points. The contest was his fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremy Henry, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, Allentown Central Catholic earned a 57-46 win over Conwell-Egan Catholic on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Allentown Central Catholic.
Easton Area bumped their record down to 2-5 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Allentown Central Catholic, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Easton Area and Allentown Central Catholic were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in February of 2020, but Easton Area came up empty-handed after a 53-52 loss. Can Easton Area avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
