The Mechanicsburg Indians can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Friday. They took down West Jefferson 45-29. That 45-29 margin sets a new team best for Mechanicsburg this season.
Mechanicsburg found their leader in underclassman Joshua Titus, who scored 16 points along with five steals. That's the first time this season that Titus scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Ritchie, who scored six points.
Mechanicsburg's win ended a nine-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-4. As for West Jefferson, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mechanicsburg will take on Triad at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. West Jefferson won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Ridgemont at 7:30 p.m. on December 16th.
