Zapata's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Landon Martinez, who threw for 174 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Andres Gutierrez was another key contributor, picking up 94 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Zapata's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for La Feria, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 2-7.
