When it comes to explaining why High Point Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Chantel Lyles. Despite the final result, she scored 14 points.
High Point Academy has not been sharp recently as the team's lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-8 record this season. As for Christ Church Episcopal, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-10.
High Point Academy will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Sabres at 6:15 p.m. on February 2nd. Southside Christian will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive. Christ Church Episcopal will take on the Knights at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully St. Joseph's Catholic focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 last Friday.
