The Upperman Bees will challenge the Soddy Daisy Trojans at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. The last four games Upperman has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
On Tuesday, Upperman had just enough and edged out Livingston Academy 2-1. The Bees haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Chris Wirsing spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits and racked up 13 Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Upperman is 2-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 5-8 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Upperman's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Braden Green, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That's the most hits Green has posted since back in March.
The home team had come away the winner the last five times Soddy Daisy and Hixson had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Trojans put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 10-2 victory on Tuesday. The Trojans not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 14th (when they won 10-0).
Soddy Daisy also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and he was also dialed-in: Brodie Haynes gave up only one earned (and one unearned) run on ten hits.
At the plate, Soddy Daisy got a massive performance out of Easton Mulder, who went 4-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Brayden Maynor was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one double.
Soddy Daisy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Upperman's win bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Soddy Daisy, their victory bumped their record up to 10-7.
Soddy Daisy's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Thursday. Upperman has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.7 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Soddy Daisy, though, as they've been averaging only 4.1 strikeouts. Will Upperman keep running through batters, or will the Trojans buck the trend?
