The Don Bosco Prep Ironmen scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They snuck past IMG Academy with a 96-92 win. Given Don Bosco Prep's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked first in New Jersey, while IMG Academy is ranked 53rd in Florida), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Dylan Harper, who scored 33 points along with eight rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Don Bosco Prep's points. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Brown, who scored 18 points.
The victory makes it two in a row for Don Bosco Prep and bumps their season record up to 4-1. As for IMG Academy, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Don Bosco Prep is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Patrick School at 9:15 p.m. on December 27th. One thing working in Patrick School's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. IMG Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Wasatch Academy on January 4, 2024.
