The Edgewood Rams have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 27 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat Harford Tech 61-19 on the road. Given Edgewood's advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 37th, while Harford Tech is ranked 159th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Harford Tech's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Faith Orsini, who scored four points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jessica Castro, who scored three points.
Edgewood's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Harford Tech, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
After both having extra time off, Edgewood and Loch Raven will shake off the cobwebs and square off against one another at 5:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024. Harford Tech will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Fallston at 6:45 p.m. on January 4, 2024. Hopefully Fallston focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Monday.
