Spring Valley and Nitro squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Spring Valley had to settle for second. They fell 59-54 to the Wildcats. The Timberwolves' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

It was another big night for Ty Stephens, who went 10-for-17 on his way to 26 points and five rebounds for Nitro. What's more, Stephens also posted a 63% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in February of 2025. Another player making a difference was Timmy Lovejoy, who posted 11 points.

Spring Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Nitro, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Spring Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Nitro, they are taking a road trip to face off against Winfield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
