Minnechaug Regional put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season last Friday. They blew past Putnam Vo-Tech/Sci-Tech 37-12. The victory was familiar territory for Minnechaug Regional, who now have five in a row.
Meanwhile, West Springfield were the first on the board but had to settle for second at the end of their matchup against Northampton/Hopkins Academy. West Springfield fell just short of Northampton/Hopkins Academy by a score of 6-9. West Springfield's defeat continues a disappointing trend for the squad, making it four losses in a row.
Minnechaug Regional's win lifted them to 5-0 while West Springfield's loss dropped them down to 1-4. We'll see if Minnechaug Regional's success rolls on or if West Springfield are able to steal their positive momentum.
