If the Community Braves were riding high off their 8-0 takedown of the Kemp Yellowjackets last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Community ended up on the wrong side of a tough 4-1 walloping at the hands of Kaufman on Wednesday. Having soared to a lofty eight goals in the game before, Community couldn't push the score so high this time.
Their goal came courtesy of
Kaelin Christian, who's now up to 16 this season.
Community's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-7-3. As for Kaufman, they now have a winning record of 6-5-3.
Community will look to defend their home pitch on Wednesday against Caddo Mills at 7:15 p.m. As for Kaufman, they will head out on the road to take on Sunnyvale at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Sunnyvale knows how to get goals on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matchups -- so hopefully Kaufman likes a good challenge.
