Pine-Richland faced North Allegheny in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Rams claimed a resounding  67-0 victory over the Tigers. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by 29  points or more this season.
Pine-Richland got their  win on the backs of several key players, but it was  JAY TIMMONS out in front who picked up 153 receiving yards and three  scores. Those  153  receiving yards gave  TIMMONS a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  AARON STRADER, who threw for 223 yards and three  touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes.
 On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Pine-Richland's defense and their three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess:  COLTEN ANDRIGHETTI,  MAX VISNIC,  and  GRANT PILLAR, who each picked up one  sack apiece.
The  victory was  the seventh in a row for Pine-Richland, bringing their record up to 8-1. Those  wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 9.9 points on average over those games. As for North Allegheny, their loss  ended  a  six-game streak of away wins  dating back to last season and  brought them to 7-2.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming  contests. Pine-Richland will square off against Shaler Area at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for North Allegheny, they will take on Seneca Valley at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Tigers will be up against the Raiders' rather soft defense (which has allowed 34.56  points per  matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
